Starting off, HyperX latest’s addition the HyperX Fury Ultra RGB mousepad is one of the Bling Bling hard mat mouse pad with full 360 RGB facing downwards for the maximum reflection and effect of the RGB light.
The top of the mousepad has the plastic feel & hard mat feel thereby giving the maximum mouse drag on low sensitivity. The bottom of the mousepad is rubber textured thereby avoiding the mousepad from slipping off your desk while gaming.
The hard texture in the mouse pad is one of the best in market comparing to the Razer firefly hardmat mousepad (the only hardmat I’ve ever used) the HyperX Fury feels much better in all terms from size, to the rubber pads below for extra grip and what not.

Packaging
The packaging is perfect and neatly packed in a high-quality packaging for the hardmat mousepad (Who doesn’t like good packaging while when you order off Amazon). The packaging inside is included with a nice shockproof plastic casing. When you open the plastic case, you will be greeted with a very beautiful HyperX Fury Ultra RGB mousepad. Not to forget, you get to peel the thin plastic overlay covered over the mousepad.
Design
The design of the mousepad is just like any other mousepad expect for the reason that the texture is different and the RGB layout in this mousepad is faced downwards meaning the RGB faces down your table thereby the reflection of the RGB gives you the maximum effect and brightness. There is also a HyperX logo on the bottom right which is also RGB infused and not just another cut logo on the mousepad.
The mousepad also comes with the braided USB cable which is a good addition for a mousepad which is not only safe but increases the longevity of the mousepad and increases the life of the mousepad.

Performance & setup
Mouse used: Logitech G304 wireless mouse
Setting up the mousepad is straightforward and just a USB connection away. For me, this was the first time using a hardmat. Earlier I was using a control mousepad which I have used for over 3 years. Getting along with the mousepad needed some practice as the DPI & the Sensitivity reduced to almost 50% to match the perfect sensitivity or something closer to what I have got used to.
Gliding & flicking with the mouse is the best part about this mousepad and this mousepad does it perfectly. I landed all the flick shots and long headshots seamlessly without putting much effort to drag the mouse all the way to the top to land the shot. The widespread length of the mousepad provides enough surface area for me on the sideways but the top is kind of small as I use a Square mousepad that has equal dimensions on all four sides. But with the high sens, the upper flick was avoided.
The bottom layer of the mousepad is packed with a textured rubber bottom which literally sticks the mousepad to the bottom surface. I’m using a wooden table that supported the mousepad and it stayed in the same place even after hours of playing on the mousepad.

As we mentioned earlier, there is RGB in the mousepad which can be fully customized with tons of options. The customization can be done through the HyperX Ngenuity app which is free to download on the Microsoft App store.
Once you connect your mousepad to the computer, it detects immediately and starts of with the basic wave RGB effect. Apart from the wave effect, these are the following effects :
- Solid color
- Cycle
- Wave
- Breathing
The changes made in the app were reflected in the mousepad almost instantaneously. The mousepad can be customized in the following different options :
- Effects
- Color
- Opacity
- Speed
- Brightness
- Presets
And these presets can be synced with all the other HyperX products connected. Few videos on YouTube also showed how to connect this with your other PC peripherals such as RGB Rams, RGB Motherboard, etc to go all out with the RGB heaven with HyperX.

Final verdict
An RGB mousepad with individual LED control brings in tons of opportunities for customization. Anything right from music sync to gameplay RGB effects, the sky is the limit. I thoroughly enjoyed the product during the review period and I highly recommend this mousepad for this who are willing to max out on RGB and go bling.
The only time I got bothered by the mousepad is when there’s something stuck to the hardmat mousepad, the Hyper X Fury hardmat mousepad has high tendency to scratch. Not just this mouse mat but any other hard mouse mat in this case.
Sizing wise, the square hardmat mousepad gives the best range and space for your awesome flick shots and it has really been perfect mouse for games like CSGO, COD MW, Overwatch which is FPS. The shots were accurate and flicks were flawless (In my case :P) doesn’t have to mean that your aim will get better but trust me, at the right sensitivity and the right hardmat mousepad eventually your aim will get better.
Now talking about the sensitivity, hardmat is definitely smoother and look out for a definite sensitivity change in my case, my normal sense on a control mouse pad which requires lots of drag as it is more accurate in my assumption. In my case, my sensitivity in CSGO on a control mousepad was 2.0 with 800 DPI whereas when I switched over to the HyperX Fury hardmat mousepad it was weird. My sensitivity ranged between 0.8 to 1.0 which is less than 50 percent. So lookout for a similar sensitivity change
