Sandisk has just launched a new 1TB Pendrive for the customers. Not only that, but the device can work on smartphones supporting USB-Type C. The Pendrive along with the high storage packs a fast transfer rate considering the size it comes in.
The device is named as “Luxe” and comes in a fully metal body. It supports for the type C users and type-A connectors at either end. The metal Pendrive comes with a hole at the end so you can tag it in a keychain and take it with you on the go without losing it.
Coming to the configuration of the 1TB Pendrive, it supports USB 3.1 Gen 1 with up to 150 Mb/s transfer rate. This is faster than the regular hard drives (7200rpm) which have an average transfer rate of 160 Mb/s. Considering how small the size of this device is, the specs are top-notch and users are not going to face any issue regarding the data transfer in the device. One thing to note is this transfer rate supports desktops only and not for Smartphones.
The 1TB Pendrive comes with a built-in application known as Sandisk Memory Zone App. This app lets you back up all your data from your smartphone into the app automatically. This makes sure your data is secure even if you lose it from your smartphone. You can easily take a backup of all your data from your PC if you’re running out of space. The 1TB storage in the Pendrive will just make your lives easier.
Having such high storage capability, the device can store hundreds of movies and millions of songs. Although people have shifted to cloud music, some users still like it in the old fashioned way. The best part about the huge storage is the portability as it comes in the size of an eraser.
The device is available in multiple variants including 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. There is only one color available for this device which is silver metallic. The 1TB Pendrive is available for pre-order on Amazon and will be available for purchase from 4th July.
