Google in a blog updated that they’ve been working on improving Google Chrome Tabs for several months now and they finally have something to show to its users. The new differentiation of Multiple tabs provides the user to get more out of the browser. Some of you out there not using a heavy amount of tabs on Google chrome, won’t need it much but yeah this type of feature can always come in handy while doing any type of work.
For the people who like developers, or researchers, this update can mean a pretty big deal to you. Let’s have a look at what the new update is all about.
Tab Grouping
The new update now allows you to group tabs in the when you have a large number of tabs opened in the browser. Google said that different types of people have different views on how to group the tabs, so they decided to add some other tweaks in the updates.

Grouping can be done according to the user depending upon how he sets or creates the group. The groups can be made differently for work, personal or other purposes. For example, if you are doing a presentation that requires 3 tabs together, you can name them as ‘Work’ and group them together easily. Other labeling features like colors can also be set of the groups to assign them the required properties. These can be a lot of help in the classification of multiple data which needs to be done on a priority basis.
Emoji Labelling
People who think text labeling is boring, they can use particular emoji’s to group their tabs according to the relevancy. Managing your tabs has so many advantages for developers and coders. Research work and differentiating between multiple tasks on your browser will save a lot of your time and will make it more intuitive.
Another feature of the tab grouping is the simple drag and drop. When you have created a particular group, you can just drag it out of it and place it another group and it will be assigned to the group.
Google says they’re working hard on improving Google Chrome every day and the new feature in the tabs will roll out soon in the upcoming week. The features can still be tested as it’s available in Google Chrome Beta for the relentless users who don’t wanna wait for the final build of the update.
